Commissioned Paintings

Private commission inquiries are most welcomed. As an artist, it is always a personal challenge to produce a quality painting for a client. This might involve painting vessels ranging from a private pleasure craft to warships, past or present. I will always be happy to pay tribute to a certain vessel by bringing it to life on canvas, or to honour someone’s memory by depicting the ship they served aboard.

 

Conditions for payment require a written agreement by email to begin a work. For a specified commission I might require reference material: i.e. photographs or relevant visual material. These can also be emailed to me. At the mid point of a commission I email a photo of the work to date. If approval is given to continue , 50% of the payment will be due and is non-refundable. Upon completion of the work, I will send a final photo. If the client is satisfied, the final payment is due, and the painting will be promptly mailed.

 

All artwork is painted in acrylics on stretched canvas ready for framing. I offer a choice of three format sizes for commissions, though I will consider special sizes. The sizes are as follows. 

24”x 36”  $4500.00 

20”x 30”  $3600.00

18”x 24”   $2100.00

Additional sizes will be considered if desired by the customer.

Shipping costs are not included. Framing is not included, but can be for an additional cost.
